West Harbour Marina

Kelowna, BC

For this project, we implemented a Floating ThruFlow aluminum dock system designed specifically to berth boats up to 40 feet in length. This system was meticulously crafted from custom aluminum dock sections, paired with High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) for reliable flotation. The choice of aluminum as the primary material was strategic, considering the dock’s location within a marina safeguarded by a breakwater system, which ensures a relatively calm and protected environment.

To comply with the stringent requirements of the BC fire code, the dock sections were engineered with integrated fire suppression features, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the marina boasts bespoke piano hinges and sleek black 8-inch flip-up cleats, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the docking system. These customizations not only meet the specific needs of the marina but also reflect a commitment to quality and attention to detail in the dock’s construction while contributing to dock sustainability.
