The Okanagan valley has it all: a beautiful lake that connects Vernon to Penticton, rolling hills that house world-class wineries and vineyards, amazing boat mooring locations, and some of the best weather Canada has to offer. It’s more than just a destination, it’s a lifestyle. And if you’re lucky enough to live on the shores of Okanagan Lake, you already know how enticing that lifestyle can be.
To get the most out of the lake, we’ve put together a dining guide with all our favourite eateries to visit via boat.

Popular Dining Destinations
Penticton
This award-winning restaurant is located at the very southern end of Okanagan Lake at the Penticton Lakeside resort. The restaurant is actually located right on the lake, and it offers stunning views of the valley. This location means that every table in the restaurant has the most amazing view. They also offer boat mooring for both restaurant and hotel guests. It’s definitely worth the trip!
Peachland
Located in the heart of Peachland, this pub is worth the boat fuel money to get there. You can moor your boat at the Peachland Yacht Club and enjoy a short lakeside stroll to the pub. It’s just one of the ways to experience the beauty of Peachland and all it has to offer.
Kelowna
SmackDAB has consistently been voted Kelowna’s Best Patio since 2014, and there’s no better way to visit than by boat. With daily moorage options available at Manteo, you can skip the roads packed with traffic and enjoy a leisurely cruise across the lake on your way to the best views and some of the best fare Kelowna has to offer.
If you’re a big fan of boats, wine and great food, the El should be your next dinner destination. Here you can moor your boat, choose from more than 150 different labels on their impressive wine menu, and watch the boats cruise by while the sun sets on another amazing Okanagan day.
The Kelowna Yacht Club is home to Canada’s largest freshwater marina, and as the builders responsible for the installtion of the marina, we might be a little biased as to just how wonderful it is. But if you’re looking for great food with amazing views, we highly recommend swinging into the Lakeside Café. You won’t be disappointed!
Vernon
If you’re thinking about heading to Vernon on your boat, the Outboard Pub is a must-visit restaurant. Situated directly at a marina on the northern tip of Okanagan Lake, you can enjoy the Vernon scenery while mooring your boat directly in front of the pub’s patio. It’s the perfect way to spend a sunny day in the Okanagan Valley.
